Dear Friends,
As our 57th Season comes to a close and I reflect back on the year, I’m awe-struck by how much we’ve accomplished with you by our side. As this was my first season as Center REP’s Artistic Director, I couldn't be more proud or grateful. In a time when many theatres are struggling with retaining audiences, we accomplished so much with your love, support, and belief in our work.
Here are a few highlights from the 2024-25 Season:
- We surpassed our box office goals for the season! 🥳
- Bucking national and local trends, our vibrant and enthusiastic subscriber base grew by an incredible 11%!
- We produced two world premieres—a first for our company! Even more lovely is that both productions, which brought new playwrights and artists to Center REP, met their box office goals!
- We forged partnerships with two Bay Area powerhouses, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and Marin Theatre Company, to produce in a smarter and more fiscally responsible manner.
- The press took notice! We received national recognition in American Theatre Magazine for our lauded world premiere of FROGGY (read the article) as well as features and critical praise in many of the Bay Area’s top publications, including San Francisco Chronicle, SFARTS Monthly, East Bay Times, San Jose Mercury News, and more.
- We provided over 3,500 Pay What You Can tickets through our robust accessibility program at an average price of just $7.64 each. We're thrilled to have played a role in reducing financial barriers for so many patrons to experience live theatre.
These successes are YOUR successes. I want you to know how much we appreciate you—our loyal, longstanding patrons and those who joined us this season for their first Center REP experience. On behalf of our entire team at Center REP: THANK YOU!
And yet, even with our continued growth, producing professional theater during these turbulent times still presents economic challenges.
Please help us keep professional theater thriving in Contra Costa County by supporting us with a tax-deductible donation through our non-profit partner, Diablo Regional Arts Association. No gift is too small (or too large!) - your generosity will help secure Center REP as a leading Bay Area theatre next season and beyond.

Thank you for your continued support of Center REP.
