This fall, spontaneity, laughter, and connection take center stage at the second annual Diablo Improv Festival (DIF), a three-day celebration of unscripted theater at the Lesher Center for the Arts in downtown Walnut Creek.
Whether you're a seasoned improviser, a comedy fan, or simply improv curious, DIF is an opportunity to see great live improv, try it for yourself, and become part of a welcoming creative community. No experience is necessary. Just a willingness to play!

All That Jazz Improv, established in 2013, is the longest-running musical improv troupe in the San Francisco Bay Area, creating unique, fully improvised, Broadway-style musicals set in the swinging jazz era of the 1920's-1960's. We make up the story, songs, and dances ON THE SPOT, based on an audience suggestion. Come join us hep cats and kittens as we transport you back in time! It’s the cat’s meow!
BATS Improv is one of the world's longest-running improvisational theatre companies and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Based in San Francisco, BATS is known for creating story-driven improvisation that blends compelling characters, rich relationships, and theatrical storytelling. Through its performances, school, and @Work programs, BATS has helped shape generations of improvisers while inspiring audiences with spontaneous theatre that is funny, heartfelt, and completely created in the moment.
