Dive into an enchanting underwater world with Julia Adam’s brand new ballet, The Little Mermaid. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved tale, this one-act ballet tells the story of a water nymph who falls in love with a mortal, blending ethereal choreography with imaginative storytelling.

Diablo Ballet is honored to premiere Company B by legendary dance maker Paul Taylor. Set to the music of the Andrews Sisters with hits such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, this dance work combines jitterbug, jazz, and modern dance techniques.

Music: Excerpts from the opera Don Sebastian composed by Gaetano Donizetti
Choreography: George Balanchine
Donizetti Variations by George Balanchine returns by popular demand. This cheerful ballet was created for “Salute to Italy,” a 1960 New York City Ballet program celebrating the 100th anniversary of Italy’s unification with music from the opera Don Sebastien.

Saturday, February 7 at 7 pm: Pre-performance talk inside the theatre with Paul Taylor repetiteur for Company B, Richard Chen See.
Meet the Dancers:
Saturday, February 7th: Diablo Ballet presents post-performance meet and greets with autograph signing with the dancers in the 2nd floor lobby immediately following the 2 and 7:30 pm.
