This fall, spontaneity, laughter, and connection take center stage at the second annual Diablo Improv Festival (DIF), a three-day celebration of unscripted theater at the Lesher Center for the Arts in downtown Walnut Creek.
Whether you're a seasoned improviser, a comedy fan, or simply improv curious, DIF is an opportunity to see great live improv, try it for yourself, and become part of a welcoming creative community. No experience is necessary. Just a willingness to play!

About this Workshop
Fun for those who have more life experience to glean from! This class is designed for those over 55 (but anyone can join)! Come play together and partake in exercises that get the mind grooving. Laugh with each other and learn to think on your feet. Lubricate the mind by working on spontaneity and positivity. This class accommodates all levels of mobility. We will have chairs for everyone and the class can be done seated if necessary.

About the Instructor
Jaime Rich is an accomplished teacher, professional speaker, and performer with over three decades of experience. She began her career in fitness, health, and wellness and had her own speaking business.
Jaime is an improv performer, producer, creative director, and teacher. She has been involved in improv for a decade. She is co-founder and executive director of the newly formed nonprofit, Spontaneous Mind. She is a performer and creative director for ACT II Improv. She has co-authored the book ‘The Power of Yes and…Communication’. She taught and performed at the recent Dramatic Improv Festival in Chicago.
She spreads the philosophy and principles of improv through her teaching. She teaches to all levels and all ages and believes that improv can extend beyond the stage to improve communication, collaboration and innovation for all types of partners and teams. She has amassed a following of students who follow her from class to class.
Jaime is an enthusiastic and engaging speaker and enjoys bringing laughter and joy to her audiences and students. She believes that improv principles extend past the stage and can produce positive attitude and life outlook shifts in those that engage in this art.
