Our celebration of Latin American arts and culture returns for the fourth year in 2026! Fiesta Cultural is a series of vibrant events and performances at Walnut Creek's Lesher Center for the Arts.
Activities will include a world-class Headliners performance on Friday evening and a free street fair surrounding the Lesher Center for the Arts in downtown Walnut Creek on Saturday with music and dance from the diverse cultures of Latin America. Dancing Home tells the story of two cousins, Margie, a US-born Mexican-American, and Lupe, a newcomer from Mexico who has come to live with Margie’s family. Their lives are so different that they struggle to connect as friends. When they each discover a love for Mexican folklórico, they find a shared path to the place they call home. This Spanish-English bilingual play explores themes of immigration, bullying, Latinx heritage, language, identity, self-acceptance, and the power of art.
Running Time: approx. 1 hour, with no intermission
