About Your Donation

Funds are raised and managed by the LCA’s non-profit partner and primary fundraising organization of the LCA, the Diablo Regional Arts Association. DRAA’s role in the community is all about building partnerships with the focused goal of enhancing artistic quality at the LCA and providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy the arts. Through partnerships with the LCA and its producers, individual donors, corporate and foundation sponsors and the City of Walnut Creek, DRAA plays a vital role in advancing the arts for the betterment of the community.

All donations to the Diablo Regional Arts Association are tax deductible less the fair market value. The following amounts should be deducted from your gift to determine its tax-deductibility: Artist: 0, Friend: $10, Performer: $60, Patron: $120, Benefactor: $160, Producer: $370.

*Benefit Bucks are redeemable in person at the LCA Ticket Office or the Ticket Outlet at Barnes and Noble on South Main Street in Walnut Creek. Must be used in full and only good for the following production companies: California Symphony, Center REP, Chamber Music SF, Company C, Contra Costa Musical Theatre, Diablo Theatre Company, Festival Opera and Smuin Ballet. Amount represents total Benefit Bucks provided at gift-level. Non-redeemable for cash. Expires one year from the date issued. Unused Benefit Bucks and purchases paid in excess will be donated back to the Arts Access Program.

It’s All Under One Roof

The Lesher Center for the Arts offers world-class theatre, symphony, dance, opera and visual arts, all under one roof. Members have the unique opportunity to make a difference in the arts, supporting a wide variety of artistic endeavors, including:

Center REPertory Company. Center REP is the resident professional theatre company of the LCA. REP celebrates the power of the human imagination by producing emotionally engaging, intellectually involving, and visually astonishing live theatre.

Bedford Gallery: The Bedford Gallery exhibits the work of historic, modern, and contemporary artists and provides the public with opportunities to learn about visual arts through programs that are varied, accessible, challenging, and educational.

Artistic Excellence Grants: Grants are awarded to LCA professional production companies with the goal of increasing the quality of the artistic offerings and expanding upon the audience experience.

Arts Access is an innovative and collaborative outreach program that broadens arts participation by providing arts experiences to individuals whose access to the arts is challenged by physical, economic, geographic, or other barriers. Arts Access has a special focus on youth and provides qualifying schools, organizations and families with free and discounted tickets and transportation to high-quality professional performances and exhibitions presented at the LCA.

Arts Access has reached more than 6,000 individuals in the past two years and will be enhanced in the coming year with additional school-time performances dedicated to outreach.

Your support helps fund this important program, opening up a new world to these deserving students.

Matching Gifts - Your company may offer a matching gift program, allowing you to double or triple your support. Please contact your HR department to inquire about this possibility.

Memorial Gifts – Recognize or honor a loved one by donating to the arts in his or her name. This recognition will be included in the LCA Magazine.

Endowment - A gift to DRAA’s Endowment Fund is a significant and exciting way to sustain the future of the arts. By contributing an outright gift or a deferred gift to one or more of our key endowment funds, you can play a pivotal role in the future of the arts in our area and receive tax benefits as well.
