WHO: - ALAN THICKE is a Golden Globe Award nominee for his most popular role as

‘Jason Seaver’ on the classic TV Series – GROWING PAINS. He starred on Broadway

as ‘Billy Flynn’ in CHICAGO-The Musical, and is a 7-time Emmy Award nominated Actor,

Writer, and Host; an Audie Award-winning Author; and a songwriter who has composed

some of TV’s most memorable theme songs including DIFF’RENT STROKES and THE

FACTS OF LIFE.

- Danville resident SAMANTHA SAMUELS is an internationally celebrated, multi-award winning Cabaret and Theatre Star, and Producer.

- Walnut Creek’s PAMELA BROOKS is an International Pops Symphony Artist who has appeared as a Featured Soloist with Symphonies throughout the world.

- HOUSEBLEND is the Contra Costa based vocal group voted “Audience Favorite” at the Bay Area’s a Cappella Festival.

- Martinez resident ML PARR was the featured singer in a series of memorable Emmy Award-winning commercial promotions who has also starred in her own one-woman shows throughout the area.

- Walnut Creek’s LAWRENCE BEAMEN is a Recording Artist who has worked with Andrae Crouch, and performed for the Pope. He starred in Woodminster’s RAGTIME, and was nominated for a 2007 Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for his performance in Broadway by the Bay’s SHOWBOAT.

- Two of Contra Costa’s most respected theatre companies present performances from their upcoming productions: DLOC’s THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, and The Willows Theatre’s THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.

WHY: The America's Second Harvest network of more than 200 food banks and food-rescue programs is one of Marriott’s Programs & Activities Community partnerships and includes the local affiliate – Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. MARRIOTT WALNUT CREEK has teamed with ESSES PRODUCTIONS and the Contra Costa Entertainment community to raise funds and awareness for this organization.
