Lesher Center for the Arts Presents New Website
Streamlined website allows patrons easier access to tickets and information;
new logo modernizes Center’s identity
WALNUT CREEK, CA. September 17, 2007 — Culminating a year-long process, the Lesher Center for the Arts is introducing a new, state-of-the-art website. Funded by the Diablo Regional Arts Association (DRAA), with support from Chevron and AT&T, the new website, which will be launched on September 24, will provide up-to-date information about the Lesher Center’s numerous productions, events, rental opportunities, and much more. Featuring interactive calendars, streamlined navigation, and Flash animation, the new site promises to vastly improve the experience of the Lesher Center’s online patrons. To tie it all together, a new logo was also created as the cornerstone of the Lesher Center’s modern, new identity.
“The launch of this website represents a new era for the Lesher Center for the Arts,” said Scott Denison, General Manager. “The Center is embracing a contemporary, streamlined identity, which is reflected in our incredible new website. The user experience will be vastly improved from the moment the site is loaded through the entire ticket purchase.”
The new Lesher Center website and logo will launch officially on September 24 at www.LesherARTScenter.org.
After investigating the current marketing efforts of the Center, it was determined that a more professional and clear identity strategy was needed. Backed by concrete research and funding, the new website and logo for the Lesher Center for the Arts were created. The Center chose to work with Metaphor Interactive, a full-service web site design and branding agency with extensive experience designing websites for other performing arts centers and organizations. A team consisting of Lesher Center and DRAA staff, with input from other City of Walnut Creek staff, was established to ensure the project would achieve the desired outcome.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome,” said Peggy White, DRAA Executive Director. “The new website and logo reflect an arts center that is evolving with the times and embracing a more refined experience for new patrons, as well as those loyal patrons who have been in the audience since opening day seventeen years ago.”
